"Our plan for 2018 was to increase people's access to Healthline properties, in order to touch more people, improve health and change lives," said David Kopp, Chief Executive Officer of Healthline Media, Inc. "I'm proud that our team's active listening to the public, online queries and proactive content development is meeting people's needs and attracting more users, making Healthline one of the fastest growing digital media properties in the health information category."
In August, Healthline's sites received an additional boost to their search rankings and organic traffic with Google's Medic Update. Sites with high expertise, authority and trust benefited from this update. According to comScore, Healthline.com experienced a 13 percent month-over-month (MoM) increase in unique visitors, and MedicalNewsToday.com saw a 26 percent MoM increase.***
Healthline deploys an integrated, strategic approach to content development, content positioning and search engine optimization. Healthline attributes its growth to a differentiated process to content production that adheres to a steadfast standard: All content must be easy to understand, undergo a rigorous medical and editorial review process, address the emotional and physical aspects of dealing with an illness, and help people tackle the realities of living with their particular condition. "Improving the authentic nature of our content has delivered real value to our visitors, and is an essential driver of our dramatic growth," added Kopp. "In addition, advertisers can reach more people than before on Healthline properties, build deeper audience connections, and work with us to bring empathy and effectiveness to their marketing programs."
