The announcement was made by technology inventor / health sciences innovator Nathan Sassover, Founder / CEO of HealthMedica Inc. Representing HCP Inc. in the transaction was Thomas M. Klaritch, Executive Vice President.
HealthMedica's history and unique strategy for a national network of Longevity Medical Centers focused on Age Intervention Medicine™ and DNA Therapeutic and Preventive Health was the catalyst prompting HCP's interest, leading to talks with HealthMedica.
The alliance, a nine figure deal, is the culmination of an eighteen (18) month relationship between HealthMedica and HCP, created to achieve a national network of Longevity Medical Centers addressing the spectrum of age related disorders with clinical programs provided by HealthMedica's affiliates, Intratherapies Inc., and World Cancer Institute.
The HealthMedica Centers are located on eight (8) major US regional hospital campuses in prime US markets and required HealthMedica and its Longevity clinical platforms to obtain approval from the Management and Boards of Directors of the eight Hospital groups to establish its Longevity Centers on those campuses.
In all cases, eight (8) Hospital management and Board approvals were granted to HealthMedica to locate its clinics within the most recognized and established medical facilities in major population centers of the US as noted below:
- Regional Medical Center of San Jose
- Carondelet Health Network- Tucson
- Northwest Medical Center- Tucson
- Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center- Las Vegas
- Osceola Regional Medical Center-Orlando
- Tristar Summit Medical Center- Nashville
- Medical City Hospital Center –Dallas
- Swedish Medical Group-Seattle
The Longevity/Anti-Aging global market is projected at $292 billion by 2015. Americans 50 years and older control 77% of US financial assets and buying power of this age group will exceed $2 trillion dollars. At present, ninety million adult Americans use alternative medicine.
Google's recent announcement of Calico, a venture to pursue broad scale Longevity research joins growing consumer, pharma and biotech interest in this health sector.
Nathan Sassover, HealthMedica Founder / CEO observed: "Accelerating HealthMedica's national clinic program is our access to HCP's massive portfolio of healthcare real estate in the US, enabling optimal targeting of Longevity Centers across the widest geographic landscape, and assures HealthMedica's access to the 80 million US Boomer demographic."
In a staggering and stunning display of creative disruption and radical innovation in the US Healthcare industry, technology inventor / health sciences innovator Nathan Sassover, Founder / CEO of HealthMedica Inc. today announced the launch of a national alliance with HCP Inc. (NYSE/ S&P500 -www.HCPI.com), the largest healthcare Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) in the world for the development of a national network of Longevity Medical Centers focusing on Age Intervention Medicine™, and DNA Therapeutic and Preventive Health programs.
The scale of the HEALTHMEDICA / HCP alliance is notable for several reasons as it creates from inception, a national network of 75 Longevity Medical Centers and establishes HealthMedica as the largest clinic network and unified national brand in the rapidly growing Longevity / Anti-Aging medical category.
Also significant is that HealthMedica's Intratherapies® Age Management Therapeutics® comprise neurosystemic and epigenetic programs which are not, and have never been, focused on questionably safe HGH-hormone replacement therapies. Increasingly cited by the FDA and widely confirmed by growing numbers of medical institutions and major university medical research over the past ten years is clinical evidence that HGH and bio-identical hormone therapies increase risks of diabetes, heart disease and cancer.
Sassover continued," The HealthMedica / HCP relationship was created in 'stealth mode' over the past 18 months and maintained an intentionally low profile during strategic targeting of US metro locations with our clinic development team in Dallas, CASE Corporate Realty Advisers.
CASE CEO / Founder/ Partner Tom Sutherland, noted: "HealthMedica provided a strategic aerial view so the total national network assures maximum availability of HealthMedica's programs. Our research guided the focus on 75-110 HealthMedica Longevity Centers within a 24 -30 month timeframe."
Sassover continued, "From the start of our discussions with HCP's Tom Klaritch and his team, we sensed a mutual awareness of potential, based on our past 10 years of low profile presence refining our evidence-based Longevity and Age Management protocols launched in 2001.
Months of talks followed, and culminated in HealthMedica and HCP concurring the alliance could immediately establish HealthMedica as a brand unbound by the inherent burdens of traditional healthcare services via managed care facilities and other primary care general providers, all of whom are confronting profound challenges on many fronts, coupled with an aging populace increasingly anxious and uncertain about the future of healthcare, and the viability of legacy health systems.
The HCP/ HealthMedica link provides the critical mass and traction to launch HealthMedica's Longevity Medical Centers for age-related personalized medicine based on Intratherapies Age Management® programs, clinically addressing the most compelling areas of concern for aging Boomers :
- Age-Related Neurodegeneative Disorders
- Cancer
- Auto Immune and Inflammatory Diseases
