Heart to Heart International Dispatches Advance Logistics Team to Chile

OLATHE, Kan., March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Heart to Heart International, a humanitarian organization based in the Kansas City area is responding to the devastating 8.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Chile Saturday, which has affected over 2 million people, according to Chilean officials.

Yesterday Dr. Gary Morsch, President and Founder of Heart to Heart International, stated, "We have initiated efforts to secure a first-hand assessment of the severity of the damage and establish protocol for delivering medical and humanitarian aid that may be needed in Chile and other locations as a result of the earthquake."

Among the leaders of Heart to Heart's advance logistics team will be George Sisler, Heart to Heart's volunteer crisis coordinator. Sisler grew up in Chile and is a veteran of international relief and recovery missions. Most recently, Sisler preceded Heart to Heart staff and volunteers in Haiti, organizing logistics in the establishment of clinics and guiding medical teams throughout affected areas.

Heart to Heart is accustomed to responding to multiple crises in various countries.
