BRINGING IT HOME tells the story of hemp: past, present and future, and of a global industry that includes textiles, building materials, food products, bio-plastics, auto parts and more. The event will take place this Friday evening, June 8, 2012 at 7:30 pm at the MarijuanaInc.TV/ Glass Slipper Studio (www.glassslipperstudio.com ), located at 12428 Oxnard St., North Hollywood, CA 91606.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER

Linda Booker started Brook Productions after completing Certificate in Documentary Studies Program at Duke University in 2005. Incorporating her skills developed as a graphic designer and art director she created her first feature film, LOVE LIVED ON DEATH ROW, a compelling documentary chronicling the journey of four siblings finding forgiveness for their father facing execution for the murder of their mother. The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation granted Linda funding for a screening tour of the film.

Linda is the creator and coordinator of the Chatham Arts Sustainable Cinema Series, an innovative and award-winning program, along with a local documentary filmmaking program for at-risk teens called Shooting4Change. Linda is a tireless volunteer for important causes and has been for some time. Her willingness to give of her time and energy was recognized in 2001 when she received the North Carolina Governor's Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service and her commitment to others is still as strong today.
