(NASDAQ: HSIC), the world's largest provider of health care products and services to office-based dental, medical and animal health practitioners, bestowed the Henry Schein Cares International Veterinary Community Service Award upon Dr. Ross Trevor Blanks. The award was presented at the World Small Animal Veterinary Association Conference in Auckland, New Zealand on March 7 by Lonnie Shoff, President and Chief Executive Officer, Global Animal Health and Strategic Partnerships, Henry Schein, Inc.
The award honored Dr. Blanks' exceptional work as a management coordinator for the veterinary emergency response team and a member of the management team that established the animal welfare response center in the aftermath of the catastrophic February 2011 earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand.
