FLOWER MOUND, Texas, May 3, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The University of Central Florida (UCF) selected James L. Rosengren, MHA, FACHE, Chairman of the Board and Executive Chairman of Heritage Health Solutions, Inc. (Heritage) to join the College of Sciences Dean's Advisory Board.
The Board consists of a small but select group of community and business leaders who serve as a sounding board for issues facing the college and as a resource to establish and strengthen partnerships throughout the region. Additionally, Rosengren was recently awarded the Professional Achievement Award from UCF at the 35th annual Black & Gold Gala. The award recognizes alumni who "Reach for the Stars."

Rosengren oversees the operations and strategic vision of Heritage. He has more than 21 years in the U.S. Army Medical Service Corps, is a Service-Connected Disabled Veteran, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, and a member of the American Legion. Prior to starting Heritage, Rosengren was Vice President of Political and Government Relations for HealthNet®.
Rosengren has served in both clinical and administrative environments including outpatient clinics, community hospitals, and tertiary care teaching facilities. He is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, a recipient of the 2012 ACHE Top Leader-to-Leader Program Award in the Hospitals, Health Systems, and other Healthcare-related categories, and a 2013 recipient of the 26th Congressional District's Congressional Veteran Commendation. Rosengren is a member of Rotary International and previously served on the Governing Board of Directors for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Flower Mound. He received his master's in health care administration from Baylor University, in addition to being selected as an adjunct professor at Trinity University concurrent with responsibilities as a graduate school candidate preceptor.
