Hewins Financial | Wipfli Hewins Prepares for 2018 with Expansion of Investment Committee Leadership and Membership
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Hewins Financial | Wipfli Hewins (Hewins) has announced the expansion of its Investment Committee, a move that will deepen the resources and capabilities the firm can offer its clients.
Rafia Hasan, CFA, CFP®, has been promoted from Director of Investments to co-Chief Investment Officer (CIO). Hasan joins existing CIO, John Bussel, in continuing to guide and implement investment strategies for the firm, which holds approximately $4.7 billion in client assets under management (AUM).
Hasan has been a pivotal member of the Investment Committee since 2015, overseeing the due diligence and monitoring of investments, as well as collaborating with Bussel to develop the firm's private equity offering. Hasan has also played a critical role in cultivating Hewins' investment communications program, further enhancing the way in which clients and advisors receive market information and education about the firm's investment philosophy and approach. She is a holder of the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional.
Hewins has also appointed Principal, Regional Director and Senior Financial Advisor Patrick Brault to its Investment Committee. For more than 30 years, Pat has specialized in developing integrated investment strategies for both high-net-worth and corporate clients, and has also served on the investment committees for several large retirement plans. He is a certified public accountant (CPA) and holds the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation.
