(NASDAQ: HPJ), a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of lithium and nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries, and a battery management systems and battery recycling provider, today announced that the Company will hold its Annual Shareholder Meeting on November 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. China Standard Time. The meeting will be held at Highpower's headquarters, which are located at Building A7, 68 Xinxia Road, Pinghu, Longgang, Shenzhen, Guangdong, 518111, People's Republic of China.
At the meeting, the following proposals will be submitted for shareholder approval, as fully described in the proxy statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission and distributed to shareholders on October 22, 2015:
- The election of five directors to the Board of Directors; and
- Ratifying the appointment of Marcum Bernstein & Pinchuk LLP as the Company's independent registered public accounting firm for the year ending December 31, 2015.
Shareholders of record as of October 5, 2015 will be eligible to vote at the Annual Meeting.
