HighTower Adds Nobel Laureate Eugene F. Fama To Roster Of Distinguished Speakers For Apex 2014

CHICAGO, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- HighTower announces that Eugene F. Fama, Nobel Laureate in Economic Science in 2013, is the third keynote speaker at Apex 2014. Heralded as the "father of modern finance," Dr. Fama's research on the efficient market hypothesis has transformed the way finance is viewed and conducted. Apex 2014, HighTower's first industry-wide conference, is at the Ritz-Carlton Chicago, May 20-23, 2014.

Dr. Fama is the joint recipient of the Nobel Prize in Economic Science with Lars Peter Hansen of the University of Chicago and Robert J. Shiller of Yale University. A prolific author who focuses much of his study on the relationship between risk and return and implications for portfolio management, Dr. Fama is Robert R. McCormick Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
