HII Technologies, Inc. Announces Strategic Hire for its South Texas Power Division

HOUSTON, Jan. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- HII Technologies, Inc. (the "Company"), symbolOTCBB: HIIT, an oilfield services company located in Houston, Texas, with operations in Texas and Oklahoma, today announced the hiring of Mr. Jason Cuevas as Vice President and General Manager of South Texas Power (STP), the Company's recently established mobile oilfield power division.

Mr. Cuevas brings significant experience to STP from his work history at Holt Caterpillar, Stewart and Stevenson, Cummins, Nabors Well Service and more recently National Oilwell Varco's portable power division in south Texas where he was responsible for the rental of  generators, light towers and related equipment to oil and gas customers.

STP is focused on providing onsite portable power to exploration and production (E&P) companies in the field where power grid connectivity is lacking.  STP rents and services a fleet of mobile diesel and natural gas powered generators and related equipment to its customers. STP's customer-oriented strategy emphasizes strong service support for our customers.

As previously announced, STP has executed an agreement with Power Reserve Corp, a privately held corporation, under which Power Reserve Corp agreed to provide funding, on a non-dilutive basis, for the purchase of up to $3 million of equipment for STP's rental inventory. The current equipment fleet and  new equipment orders now total more than $1.5 million.
