BEIJING, Jan. 20 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- Himfr.com, one of China's leading B2B search platforms with more than 30 B2B industry websites to its name, analyzes electronic instrument industry development trends.

With the economic depression, electrical industries' pressure control instrumentation, wind machines, and other electrical instrumentation have experienced varying degrees of change; domestic meter manufacturers have basically completed the transition to the electronic meter, exports of electronic meters have exceeded the export of mechanical meters, becoming mainstream in terms of meter products. Chinese enterprises are optimistic about the international market, but the electronic instrument industry's export values are still not high. However, this situation may change as the technical level and quality of Chinese electronic instrument products improve. Mid-range product have a definite cost advantage in the international market and also a considerable competitive edge.

In 2009, the domestic electronic instrument industry experienced a golden period of development. From January to May, the industry output value reached 104 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 28 percent; sales revenues reached 98.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year of 28 percent; profit reach 6.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 44.4 percent, and the annual growth rate of the industry remained high. Development will be maintained this year, and the growth rate may even be higher than last year. At this point, the electronic instrument industry has been growing steadily for six consecutive years along with the economy.

Low value-added products face transformation as well. In the first half of 2009, the growth rate low value-added product in the electronic instruments industry has declined markedly. From January to May, the growth rate was just 18.6 percent, significantly below the industry growth rate of 28 percent. Exports of watt-hour meters in the first half of the year also encountered obstacles: the growth of export value was only 19 percent, significantly lower than the electronic instrument industry average export growth rate. Currently foreign markets have put forward higher requirements for meter products; the traditional mechanical meter can no longer meet the needs of foreign markets.

At present, large-scale users often take advantage of outsourcing for automated instrument repair work in order to improve economic efficiency. Service outsourcing has become a prevalent trend, and electronic instrument-making enterprises should be prepared to seize such opportunities.
