Hispanic CREO Launches Futuro2020: Educate. Empower. Achieve. - Campaign Aimed at Building a Stronger America through Education

WASHINGTON, July 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options (HCREO) has announced the launch of Futuro2020: Educate. Empower. Achieve., a nationwide initiative that will raise awareness of Hispanic access to quality education through empowerment of students and parents and targeted partnerships and outreach. 

"The need to empower the Hispanic community when it comes to accessing quality education is a priority," said Julio Fuentes, president of Hispanic CREO. "Futuro2020, is a national awareness and take-action campaign that enables Latinos to become tomorrow's innovators and build a stronger America."

Through www.futuro2020.org, students and parents will be engaged through various strategies that will encourage them to share their vision for the year 2020. From social media components, asking youth to share aspirational photos of their career goals to equipping advocates with the proper tools to reach out to their elected officials and share the importance of ensuring full access to quality education, Futuro2020's focus is on raising the next generation of America's innovators. 

Strategic partnerships with established educational organizations including various Hispanic chambers of commerce throughout the country and the U.S. Hispanic Leadership Institute will enable Futuro2020's mission to span networks and penetrate communities where increasing access is most critical.
