Hitachi ID Systems Restructures Product Lineup

Fewer products with more features increase value

CALGARY, June 21 /PRNewswire/ - Hitachi ID Systems, Inc., a leading provider of identity and access management solutions, is pleased to announce a streamlined grouping of the products in its identity management suite. Hitachi ID Systems software is now organized into fewer, more robust products, thereby creating more value and lowering TCO for customers.

The reorganized product lineup is the result of feedback from Hitachi ID Systems customers, who seek end-to-end solutions for managing users, entitlements, authentication factors and privileged accounts.

"Our customers expect us to provide the best technology at the lowest TCO," says Gideon Shoham, CEO. "In response, we have reorganized our suite into three core products, each offering significantly enhanced, broad functionality."

The new, streamlined Hitachi ID Management Suite consists of:

    * Identity Manager:

        The user provisioning solution includes role-based access control
        (RBAC), auto-provisioning, identity synchronization, self-service
        profile updates and delegated administration.

        Self-service management of groups and access to network resources,
        formerly in Hitachi ID Group Manager, is now included.

        Periodic certification of users and entitlements, formerly in Hitachi
        ID Access Certifier, is now included.

        Delegated construction of OrgChart data, formerly in Hitachi ID Org
        Manager, is now included.

        The broader functionality in Identity Manager is available with
        versions 6.1.2 and later, effective immediately.

    * Password Manager:

        The authentication management solution includes password
        synchronization and reset and adds smart card PIN reset, token PIN
        reset and full disk encryption key recovery.

        Enterprise single sign-on (ESSO), formerly in Hitachi ID Login
        Manager, is now included.

        Telephone self-service, formerly in Hitachi ID Telephone Password
        Manager, is now included. The broader functionality in Password
        Manager will be available in versions 7.0 and later, starting in
        July.

    * Hitachi ID Privileged Password Manager:

        The privileged access management product includes a password vault,
        password randomization system, ability to temporarily attach a user
        to administrator groups or SSH trusted key rings and extensive
        auditing capabilities.

        The entire Hitachi ID Management Suite shares a common
        infrastructure, including a rich set of connectors to enterprise and
        cloud-based systems and applications, a robust workflow engine, an
        auto-discovery system and more.
