Hodges University Partners with Ed Map to Support Course Materials Affordability Initiatives

NELSONVILLE, Ohio, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hodges University, a private non-profit regionally-accredited institution headquartered in Naples, Florida, has announced a new partnership with Ed Map, Inc. to develop and implement a new course materials strategy.

Noah B. Lamb, the director of student accounts and auxiliary services at Hodges, had become concerned with their previous model for course materials fulfillment. "With the exception of students registered in our self-paced learner programs, we use a student-pay model with a book voucher option that many of our students need to use. Managing the vouchers process can be tedious, and the amount that students were paying for course materials was becoming a major concern. Plus, there's always an emphasis on retention, so I know it's particularly important, given our accelerated terms, that students have their course materials on time," he states. "I started seeking a replacement vendor and Ed Map surpassed all the others being considered," he adds.

Over time, we know that our students will become more comfortable and confident working with eTexts, making POD versions less desirable."
