Hodyon, a Fallbrook Technologies Company, Offers Special Leasing to Independent Truck Drivers on its Fuel Saving Auxiliary Power Units

AUSTIN, Texas, March 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As diesel fuel continues to escalate (up nearly 30 percent from last year according to the Department of Energy), independent truck drivers are looking for ways to reduce fuel and maintenance costs.  Hodyon, a Fallbrook Technologies company, today announced a new leasing program that can provide savings for independent truck drivers who install Hodyon Dynasys APU systems. An APU is a clean technology product that addresses anti-idling regulations affecting Class 8 trucks, improves energy efficiency and should provide fleets and truck drivers significant savings.

According to Hodyon, a manufacturer and distributor of energy-efficient products and systems, the Dynasys APU is designed to provide owner operators savings of potentially thousands of dollars in out of pocket expenses annually, with savings of up to $400 a month on fuel alone after the APU lease payment.  Additional savings may be realized due to the reduction in engine wear, and thus maintenance costs, that are associated with long duration engine idling.  Furthermore, since the Dynasys APU provides temperature control and electricity to the truck cab, the operator may choose to further reduce expenses for lodging, meals and so on.
