Hogan Marren Babbo & Rose Ltd. Names Debora L. Osgood Partner in the Firm's Education Group

CHICAGO, April 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hogan Marren Babbo & Rose, Ltd, a Chambers ranked full-service law firm focusing on education, health care, and labor and employment, is pleased to announce that Debora L. Osgood has joined the firm as a partner in the firm's education practice group.  

Ms. Osgood served as a National Enforcement Director with the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights (OCR). In that role, she was part of OCR's senior leadership team and oversaw half of OCR's 12 regional enforcement offices. With 25 years of experience at OCR, she is nationally recognized as an expert on the civil rights issues in education. Ms. Osgood previously held the Director and Chief Attorney positions in OCR's regional office in Chicago.

Debbie has extensive knowledge and experience in addressing the legal issues faced by schools, colleges and universities, including sexual violence and harassment, issues relating to transgender students, gender equity in athletics, student discipline, racial and disability harassment, accommodations for students with disabilities, and retaliation. She provided national leadership and training to OCR staff, including training on the investigation and resolution of sexual violence cases, Title IX athletics issues and OCR's case processing procedures.
