One in five (19%) of today's travellers are putting themselves at risk of not getting a hire car for their holiday this year by planning to wait until they get to the airport before arranging car hire, according to Holiday Autos.

Figures from the UK's largest car hire broker reveal that these "car hire chancers" face paying up to 30% more for car hire if they book last minute (less than a month in advance).
