Bender, who currently sells real estate in San Diego and is affiliated with Canter Brokerage, observes that San Diego's 2013 housing market brought quarter over quarter increases in home prices. The 4th quarter has brought a slight cooling in the market and this affords opportunity to buyers currently on the sidelines.
"A seller who is actively showing their property during the holidays is more motivated to sell than a seller merely testing the highs of the market," Bender said. "There are some builders in San Diego offering unusual discounts on current phases of move in ready models in an effort to clear inventory off the books."
