CRANFORD, N.J., Aug. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Home Properties, Inc. (NYSE: HME) today announced the completion of the first Resident Appreciation Days at its 28 apartment communities in the New Jersey and Long Island regions. The month-long celebration was filled with activities to express appreciation to residents of Home Properties' apartment communities.
Hackensack Gardens in Hackensack, NJ, offered weekly events hosted by an enthusiastic team of staff members led by Property Manager Maria Ginorio.
"Our residents couldn't wait to see what event was up next," said Ginorio. "Whether it was 'Movie Trivia' or 'Kids' Safety Day,' our team couldn't wait to let folks know how much we appreciate them. We really are a family here because we spend so much time together. We strive to make everyone feel right at home," concluded Ginorio.
The team at Wayne Village in Wayne, NJ, showed its appreciation for residents by offering the use of all the community's washers and dryers for free during this event.
"We had lines wrapped around the building to do loads of free laundry," recalled Property Manager Christina Quinci. "But, more than that, we saw people we normally don't see interacting with their neighbors. This event did so much to build an even stronger sense of community here."
In Coram, NY, residents were treated to popsicles by the pool every Saturday throughout the month of June at Crescent Club Apartments.
"The kids were especially enthusiastic about this event," said Property Manager Michele Lagnese. "We got several reminders from our youngest residents if the popsicles weren't delivered right on time," laughed Lagnese.
