Homeless Pets Find Homes from the Inaugural All About The Animals 501c(3) Homeless to Haute Gala and Fashion Show with Professional Models and Actors Walking Adoptable Rescue Pups; Dogscars Awarded to Local Animal Welfare Non-Profits
LOS ANGELES, Sept. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Headline-making non-profit All About the Animals continues its newsworthy ways; this time with its sold-out inaugural Homeless To Haute Gala benefiting homeless pets.
The buzz-worthy event, which took place on Sunday September 18, 2016 at a spectacular five-star coastal resort in Orange County, CA, wowed with a designer fashion show featuring professional models and actors strutting down the catwalk along with adorable adoptable rescue dogs looking for their fur-ever homes.
The best part? Several pups from the fashion show are now beginning the adoption process with their new humans who attended the event! More information about the dogs from the show, many which are still available for adoption, can be found at www.homelesstohaute.com/doggymodels.
Fashion show participants included cover model and actress Jasmine Star Dustin (Rush Hour 3, Doheny Models); highly sought-after professional print and runway models Will Hawkins and Becky Billman; and reigning Ms. Texas Analizia Lopez among others. Designers included up and coming Vegan shoe designer Mink.
Director, actress and Eastwood Ranch Foundation founder Alison Eastwood was among the more than 100 VIP PUP-loving peeps who attended the event. Joining Clint Eastwood's daughter were a host of special guests including New York Times best-selling author, TV journalist and animal activist Jane Velez-Mitchell and stand-up comedian and star of comedy specials such as Netflix's Relatable Steve Trevino. Former supermodel and author of Runaway Runway Lorelei Shellist was also in attendance cheering on the both the two-legged and four-legged models.
Dogscar honorees included Social Compassion and Legislation (SCIL), which was awarded Animal Advocates of the Year 2015, and Angels n Paws, which accepted the award for Rescue of the Year 2015.
"The guests were thoroughly thrilled by the shelter pets strutting down the runway, dressed in their fanciest attire; transforming from homeless to Haute. So much so that multiple furry models have secured potential forever homes as a result," said Laura Jones, CEO of All About The Animals who oversaw the concept, planning and execution of the successful event. "With Southern California shelters containing pure breeds such as Velma Louise the Pekingese who was featured in the show, there really is no reason to choose a bred pet over a homeless shelter pet in dire need of a home." |
All About The Animals is a non-profit 501c3 that supports, fundraises for, collaborates with and unites small independent rescue groups that are on the front lines rescuing animals including those from the oft poorly run municipal shelters. The proactive organization also advocates for the rights of homeless animals housed in shelter facilities to receive humane treatment as well as for responsible rescue practices.
