ORANGE COUNTY, Calif., Aug. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Homes of California announced that starting today they will be giving Southern California home buyers and sellers pre-paid Visa cards, as much as $4000, to those who list and sell their homes with Homes of California within one year of a provided date.

At current gas prices, some customers will receive more than 1,000 gallons of free fuel, which equates to more than a free tank of gas a week for an entire year!

With fuel prices having gone up over 67% since 2008 and with gas prices continuously fluctuating, relief from unsteady fuel prices would be welcome for many. Southern California in particular has some of the highest gas prices of any other state at this time.

Homes of California is also offering this gas promo to people who wish to short sell their home with the company. A short sale is a sale of real property in which the sale proceeds fall short of the balance owed on the property's loan. "The short sale market has been especially hard on home owners facing that situation, and there are thousands of them in Orange County," said Freedman. Buy or sell a home valued between $200,000-$300,000 for a $1500 card, $301,000-$700,000 for a $3000 card, and over $701,000 for a $4000 card. Since a large portion of homes in the Orange County are at least $550k, many, many homes qualify for the offer.
