STAMFORD, Conn., Nov. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- HomeServe USA Corp. (HomeServe), a leading provider of emergency home repair service programs, is pleased to announce its expansion into the Canadian market with the signing of an agreement with EPCOR Utilities Inc. (EPCOR). The approximately 1.3 million residential households across the province of Alberta, Canada, will soon have access to a broad new array of enhanced home repair plans through HomeServe. The plans offered by HomeServe protect homeowners from the cost and inconvenience of repairs that are not covered by basic home insurance or a local utility.

In April 2012, Albertans will begin receiving information from HomeServe describing the affordable protection plans available to them, including coverage designed for water and sewer service lines interior plumbing and drainage piping, heating/water heating systems, and electric wiring. HomeServe USA, which provides 1.4 million home emergency service plans under more than 21 utility brands, two manufacturing brands, and under the HomeServe name, will be the first company to offer exterior water or sewer service line coverage to homeowners in Canada.
