HomeVestors Continues Aggressive Trademark Enforcement in The Third and Fourth Quarters of 2013

Since its incorporation in 1996, HomeVestors has aggressively defended its federally registered trademarks and enforced its right to prevent third parties from infringing these marks, in third-party websites, domain names, and in keyword advertising.

Over the past year, HomeVestors has initiated enforcement action against well over eighty third-party infringers. In the second half of 2013 alone, HomeVestors has initiated enforcement action against thirty-eight new third-party infringers and has already secured victory in twenty-nine matters, including the direct transfer of ten domains from infringers to HomeVestors. In addition, HomeVestors pursued and won two Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy ("UDRP") proceedings against third parties that incorporated HomeVestors' trademarks into their domain names, gaining ownership of the domains. In total, HomeVestors has secured fifteen domains from the hands of infringers in the year 2013.

HomeVestors also continues to see an increase in third-party use of the federally registered HOMEVESTORS® mark, or confusingly similar variations thereof, an indication that the HOMEVESTORS® brand continues to grow and gain strength and recognition throughout the United States.
