Hoop it Up Hosts Nationals and World 3x3 Basketball Festival

DENVER, July 23, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hoop It Up will host the event of the year, the Hoop It Up Nationals & 3x3 Word Festival. The event will feature the latest in 3x3 basketball action playing under the fast paced, exciting new FIBA format in this one of a kind, indoor and fully air-conditioned event. The event will take place over Labor Day weekend (Aug 31 – Sept 1) at the prestigious 300-acre waterfront Gaylord National in National Harbor, MD.

The event will be the first qualifier for the 2014 USA Basketball National Tournament and winners of the Men's Top Gun division will receive a $4,000 prize. Winners of the Men's and Women's Top Gun divisions as well as U18 Boys and Girls divisions will qualify to compete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

During the World 3x3 Festival, the Americas U18 3x3 Championship will include a variety of international teams. The Hoop it Up Nationals event includes an AAU Youth Division, sanctioned by the Amateur Athletic Union of the U.S., Inc.

Athletes can register teams of four and receive two double-queen rooms at the Gaylord, free practice on Friday, a four to eight-game guarantee, four passes to the BBQ party on Saturday, discounted game tickets for spectators and entry into the dunk contest featuring a $500 cash prize for the winner.
