For the second year in a row the show has been named Crime Podcast of the Year by the American Writing Awards, and has also earned a prestigious Ambie Award nomination for Best Indie Podcast Hosts.

The Ambie Awards, presented by The Podcast Academy, honor excellence in podcasting across various genres. This year's ceremony will be held on March 31, 2025 in Chicago, hosted by comedian Tig Notaro. The nomination places Horrorwood hosts McCoy and Corbett among the industry's top independent podcast voices.
