Hotel Moloka'i to Break Ground on New Restaurant with Local Chef

MILLERSVILLE, Md., May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Hotel Moloka'i, a member of Beachtree Properties, will break ground on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 9 a.m. on a new oceanfront restaurant, Tante's at Hotel Moloka'i.  The partnership with local Chef Tante Urban will create a truly authentic Hawaiian experience for guests and locals who wish to sample local cuisine with breathtaking oceanfront views. The restaurant will use locally-sourced foods when possible such as; fresh tropical fruits, organic island vegetables and of course, lots of fresh fish caught right in the Hawaiian waters.

After an extensive search of many Hawaiian contractors, Hotel Moloka'i selected TLC Builder Ltd, a firm located on the island of Moloka'i.  TLC will rebuild the restaurant which was closed in 2012 following a substantial kitchen fire. TLC Builder Ltd will employ local workers for the project, creating long-term employment opportunities on the island.  In addition to the all-new restaurant, the hotel exterior will be receiving a substantial 'facelift' with new shakes for all buildings.
