Hotels.com Offers Three and Four-Star Properties for $99 Or Less
Hotels.com 2010 Hotel Price Index Reports 2% Global Increase in Average Hotel Room Rates
DALLAS, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Hotels are making a comeback this year, but the Hotels.com® $99 or Less promotion offers a luxurious break on three and four-star hotels for a fraction of the rising prices seen this year. Featuring nearly 2,000 hotels in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and the Caribbean, travelers who book by November 1 and travel by November 15 can enjoy deluxe accommodations on a tight budget. According to the September 2010 Hotel Price Index™ (HPI®), released last month by Hotels.com, hotel room rates illustrated a 2% global increase in average hotel room rates paid in the beginning half of this year for the first time since the end of 2007.
"We love doing the $99 or Less promotion to help travelers save, especially now that hotel room rates are slowly rising year-over-year according to our latest HPI findings," says Taylor L. Cole, APR, director of public relations for Hotels.com. "The promotion, which features three and four-star properties, offers substantial savings that will be harder to find as the hotel industry makes a comeback."

About the HPI
The Hotels.com® Hotel Price Index™ (HPI®) is a regular survey of hotel prices in major city destinations across the world. The HPI is based on bookings made on Hotels.com and prices shown are those actually paid by customers (rather than advertised rates) in the first half (and particularly Q2) of 2010.
Now in its seventh year, the HPI is respected as the definitive report on hotel prices paid around the world and increasingly used as a reference tool by media, analysts, tourism bodies and academics.
