WOODBURY, N.Y., June 11, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sterling & Sterling, Inc. today announced that Howard Tollin has joined the private insurance brokerage as President of Sterling Environmental Services. In this newly-created position, he will report to Leslie Nylund, President, and be responsible for working closely with clients on evaluating and managing corporate environmental exposures not often covered by general liability and property insurance policies.
"We are very happy to welcome Howard to our team and have him leading a division that we feel has tremendous growth potential," said David Sterling, Chairman & CEO of Sterling & Sterling. "At a time when more and more companies are going green and trying to be more environmentally friendly, Howard brings with him more than 23 years of experience with insurance and environmental law, which will greatly benefit our firm."
Leslie Nylund, President of Sterling & Sterling commented, "Environmental exposures cut across all industries and companies. Howard's unique insurance and legal background, having worked on the most complex and sophisticated risks, will enable him to take a holistic view beyond just environmental exposures."
Prior to joining Sterling & Sterling, Tollin was Managing Director at Aon Risk Solutions, as well as Breitstone & Co. Ltd., which was acquired by Aon in 2006. He also served as a Partner in the Insurance Practice Group at Rivkin Radler, Long Island's largest law firm, where he supervised complex insurance coverage litigation and environmental claims.
