Hub City Media Announces Directory Migration Service to Oracle DSEE
EDISON, N.J., March 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hub City Media has announced an accelerated Directory Migration Service for clients facing the phase-out of Sun Directory Server Enterprise Edition 5.2 (Sun DSEE 5.2).
The new service provides a rapid and efficient transition from Sun DSEE 5.2 (and later versions of DSEE approaching product end-of-life) to Oracle Directory Server Enterprise Edition (ODSEE). The migration service enables users to protect their platform investments, renew product support and exploit the technical advantages of the newer product.
"Sun DSEE users don't want to completely abandon the investment they've made, so we developed this service to allow them to transition quickly and comfortably to ODSEE, which maintains a common code base with 5.2," says Steve Giovannetti, an Oracle Deputy Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Hub City Media's CTO. "Our migration solution also addresses our clients' needs for stability and business continuity – that makes the process much more palatable."
In addition to allowing customers to maintain product support from Oracle, ODSEE offers an improved directory services console with better visibility to the health of the directory services infrastructure. It enhances visibility into data replication and possible replication latency between servers.
Hub City Media's Directory Migration Service encompasses all versions of Sun Directory Server Enterprise Edition, SunONE Directory Server, and iPlanet Directory Server products.
