Hub Group Receives The US EPA 2013 SmartWay Excellence Award

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Oct. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hub Group, Inc. Hub Group's commitment to sustainability through its vast intermodal transportation network generated significant fuel and cost savings for its customers while reducing carbon dioxide emissions. By converting customers to rail, Hub Group can reduce emissions and fuel consumption because rail produces 65 percent less greenhouse gas than highway. In fact, freight trains are three times more fuel efficient than trucks.
