Hudson Appointed Executive Vice President of Central Pacific Financial Corp. and Central Pacific Bank
HONOLULU, May 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Central Pacific Financial Corp. (NYSE: CPF), parent company of Central Pacific Bank (CPB), has appointed David Hudson Executive Vice President, Community Banking Manager of Central Pacific Financial Corp. and Central Pacific Bank. Hudson was previously Senior Vice President, Community Banking Manager for CPB. As Division Manager of Community Banking, Hudson is responsible for the bank's 34 branches statewide, business banking units and consumer lending function.

Hudson has more than 25 years of experience in the finance industry in Hawaii and California. He started his banking career in corporate, international and commercial real estate lending with Crocker National and First Nationwide banks. More recently, Hudson's career has focused on retail and branch banking.
Prior to joining CPB in 2009, Hudson spent the last six years as senior vice president of the consumer and business banking division at American Savings Bank. He also served at Honfed Bank and Bank of America in Hawaii and California in various positions from process design executive to consumer region executive. He was responsible for opening the first Saturday and extended weekday hour branches in Hawaii, as well as the first branches open 7 days a week in grocery stores (Foodland and Sack N Save).
Hudson received his bachelor's degree in economics and history from the University of California at Berkeley in 1980.
