Huhtamaki Continues Tableware and Foodservice Expansion with Acquisition of Winterfield, LLC

DE SOTO, Kan., Aug. 30, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Huhtamaki, a global leader in specialty and paperboard packaging, today announced it has acquired the business and assets of Winterfield, LLC, a privately held manufacturer of disposable paper tableware. The acquisition is Huhtamaki's third growth-focused transaction in the United States within the past 12 months, following the acquisitions of Paris Packaging and Ample Industries.

Winterfield, LLC employs approximately 100 people in two Marion, IN plants and adds printed plate capability to Huhtamaki North America's pressed paperboard plate offering, in addition to a talented workforce and expanded manufacturing presence in the Midwest.
