Human Rights Campaign Announces Austin Gala Dinner Speakers

AUSTIN, Texas, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Human Rights Campaign, Austin Steering Committee today announced the speakers for the upcoming 15th Annual Austin Gala Dinner, March 20, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency.
Actor Scott Evans
Scott Evans joined the cast of ABC's One Life to Live in 2008. He graduated from New York University. He has been seen on Guiding Light, Fringe and Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Evans was also in the film Confessions of a Shopaholic.
Bishop Gene Robinson
V. Gene Robinson was elected Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of New Hampshire on June 7, 2003, having served as Canon to the Ordinary (Assistant to the Bishop) for nearly 18 years. Robinson is widely known for being the first openly gay, non-celibate priest to be ordained a bishop in a major Christian denomination.
Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese
Joe Solmonese is the president of the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender civil rights organization it the United States. Solmonese is the driving force behind many successful legislative and electoral victories. Under Solmonese leadership, HRC has grown to more than 750,000 members and supporters, with an annual budget of more than $30 million
The event will feature noted speakers and entertainers, an array of politicians, leaders of the LGBT community, a silent benefit auction and more. The theme for the event will be Speak the Truth.
Emcees for the gala dinner will be leading Austin news anchors Michelle Valles of KEYE-TV, CBS and Tyler Sieswerda of KVUE-TV, ABC.
