Hurricane Grill & Wings Announces 28 New Franchise Agreements Across The US

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., May 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hurricane Grill & Wings is excited to announce five development agreements, adding 28 locations and continuing its national expansion. Currently, the family-friendly, island-inspired restaurant has 46 locations in six states. The new commitments will open restaurants in four new states including Colorado, Maryland, Delaware, Minnesota and additional units in Hudson Valley, New York. Hurricane Grill & Wings now has a total of 266 commitments.

The Fortus Hospitality Group, LLC will develop three units in Colorado. With extensive experience in development, they have a commitment to open an additional 23 locations. "There is a lack of quality, fresh wings served in a great environment in Colorado," said president and principal Chad Glassbaum. "We look forward to filling that void and opening the first Hurricane Grill & Wings location in the Denver market."

The 17 unit development agreement in Minnesota is being carried out by veteran hospitality company, Torgerson Properties. "Minnesota is a wing loving state and we are thrilled to add the Hurricane Grill & Wings brand to our growing portfolio," said president of Torgerson Properties, Mitch Peterson. Torgerson Properties currently manages 28 hotel properties, nine restaurants and over 2,000 associates in Minnesota and Florida. The first location will open in October of this year in Burnsville, MN.

IZZ, LLC has committed to two Delaware locations and one in Maryland. The group's first location in Elkton, MD will open later this year. "We have found a fantastic franchisee to open the first location in this region," said Glenn Gustafsson, Area Developer for the Mid-Atlantic Region. "The East Coast is home to wings and we are certain Hurricane Grill & Wings will be a prominent newcomer to the bustling wing scene."

With over 30 years of restaurant experience, Angelo Balbo, Angelo Viscoso and Brad Nagy of Hurricane of Poughkeepsie, LLC will open five new locations in Upstate New York. "Wings are a very hot segment right now and since New York has proven a great market for Hurricane Grill & Wings we thought it was the perfect combination." said Angelo Balbo. The first location is set to open in Poughkeepsie by September of this year.
