WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 2, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Hy-Vee stores throughout the Midwest will once again honor America's veterans on Veterans Day with a free breakfast in appreciation of their service to the country.
What started as a promotional event offered by a few stores has become a company-wide tradition, said Randy Edeker, Hy-Vee's president and chief operating officer.
"Our Veterans Day Breakfast is one of the most rewarding activities Hy-Vee sponsors each year," Edeker said. "It gives us an opportunity to thank our veterans for all the sacrifices they made to secure our freedom."
