GAINESVILLE, Fla., Jan. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- HyGreen, Inc., a leader in hand hygiene monitoring, today announced a distribution agreement and partnership with RCA Medical, a subsidiary of Ascendis Health Limited, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Each year, hundreds of millions of patients around the world are affected by health care-associated infections as organisms are transmitted from patient to patient via the unwashed hands of healthcare workers.  To help combat these infections, the HyGreen system actively reminds healthcare workers if they forget to wash before patient contact and wirelessly records all hand hygiene events in the hospital.
