Hyland and John Carroll University Accelerate Campus-Wide Deployment of 10 Major OnBase Solutions

CLEVELAND, Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of its Strategic Plan to nurture an engaged campus, John Carroll University implemented 10 major OnBase by Hyland solutions — all hosted in the Hyland Cloud — in 10 months through a close collaboration with Hyland. The institution-wide rapid deployment of OnBase, a single enterprise information platform, replaces a portfolio of niche, locally developed custom-code applications to better support departments across the university.

All solutions — including graduate student petitions, new hire and annual evaluations, core curriculum review and IT change management — align with institutional goals of advancing a culture of data-informed decision making. The solutions are also strategic uses of technology to ensure excellence in all academic and administrative processes.

John Carroll University, which enrolls about 4,000 students each year, rolled out its OnBase campus IT strategy in January 2016, starting small with a single solution critical to student services. After a successful launch of the Undergraduate Academic Petition Process solution in the Office of the Registrar, university IT staff began efforts to expand OnBase across campus.
