Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Announces New Digital Ecosystem Aimed to Solve Travel Pains

PLAYA VISTA, Calif., June 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of Jumpstartfund's Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Inc. (HTT) mission to solve the issues faced by travellers and commuters, the company is announcing the creation of a digital ecosystem—a marketplace—exclusively for travel solution apps. In light of HTT's development agreement with the Slovak Republic and the relationships forged with partnering companies there, a Digital Innovation Challenge will take place in downtown Bratislava, Slovakia on July 6 at Old Market to further develop this ecosystem.

HTT has teamed up with Lufthansa Innovations, Deutsche Bahn D.Lab, Startupbootcamp, Towercom, Anext, Amazon Web Services, Five by Five, Campus Party, IBM, and Catalysts CC to support a day devoted to designing and creating solutions based on traveller data and needs. The event will be attended by special guest and HTT board member Nolan Bushnell; known for creating the Atari game system, Bushnell is regarded as the father of the modern video game industry.

The Hyperloop Digital Experience is an all-encompassing digital space that allows passengers to book travel and address other commuting needs. Startup companies and developers can offer services through an integrated marketplace to solve travel needs and offer services. For example, Airlinecheckins, one of the Lufthansa services that will be part of the marketplace, will allow the passenger to be checked in automatically on every flight they book.

Throughout the 8-hour event, mobile developers, students and other organizations will be introduced to the new platform and given access to travel data from many of Europe's biggest travel organizations to create new and exciting solutions. Participants will have access to top mentors and all entries will be judged at the end of the day. While teams compete throughout the day there will also be presentations from leading transportation and technology companies and new announcements concerning the development of Hyperloop.
