I-care Strengthens Technological Autonomy with Construction of New High-tech Production Facility in Belgium

The site, which will eventually cover an area of 18,000 m², will be fully operational by 2028. The investment is expected to generate several hundred direct and indirect jobs.

This state-of-the-art site will enable the company to support and accelerate its global growth from its Mons headquarters, with the ambition of assembling 1 million Wi-care predictive sensors per year by 2027.

A compact site at the cutting edge of technology

The new infrastructure stands out for its compact size and high level of innovation. With cutting-edge technology and eco-friendly processes, it has been designed to support I-care's rapid growth by offering it strategic autonomy in the development of its sensors. I-care is the only predictive maintenance solutions provider in the world to mass-produce its own sensors, ensuring unmatched independence and quality control. The company will be able to design and assemble all the components required for its solutions on site, from electronic boards to casings, including integrated batteries and communication modules. Ultimately, I-care will be able to assemble 1 million Wi-care 130 G23 sensors each year, a new-generation sensor that will help make industries around the world safer, more sustainable, and more profitable.

This new site, where I-care will also bring together all of its R&D teams, will also serve as an innovation platform where new prototypes will be designed and tested. It will enable I-care to meet the growing demand for connected solutions in the predictive maintenance sector, as well as to collaborate with other European companies in the development of next-generation connected objects.

In addition, the infrastructure will be partially powered by solar panels and other renewable energy sources.
