CONWAY, Ark., Nov. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ --I recently decided to start blogging my family's favorite recipes and stories about us to help encourage families to spend time cooking together, eating around the table together, playing together, and sharing the Word of God around these activities. I have lived in five southern states and will be featuring them in my Southern Classic Recipes. I have put my own spin on these great regional recipes. Each recipe will include step by step directions with large photos. The one thing that is most unique about my blog is that I will relate each recipe to God's Word or to something about my family. Each post will also include a Bible verse. I will confess that I have a huge addiction to cookbooks and will recommend my favorites. I will be talking about why I love my favorite cookware and gadgets for the kitchen. I will be using my blog to give ideas on how to organize your kitchen. One of the main goals of this blog is to encourage families to spend time cooking together, and having an organized kitchen definitely helps.

I will be blogging often about my life experiences and what I have learned from them. I know that God can use everything that has happened in my life to encourage others who might be going through a similar situation. My prayer is that by telling others my experiences, it will help me and hopefully someone else.
Every family needs to have family fun. I will be using this blog to recommend some of the great places our family has visited and our favorite southern restaurants. I hope you will be able to use some of this information to make lots of memories with your family.
I pray that this blog will encourage families to cook together, eat around the table together, play together, and share the Word of God together. I believe that this is the recipe to help build strong families that stick together, trust each other and love each other.
Deuteronomy 11:19 "Teach them (God's Word) to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." This task can be overwhelming. I pray most of all that every post will encourage parents to teach their children about the Word of God on a daily basis.
I also have a non-profit website to teach children the Word of God with a great bible game at www.sweeptheword.com
