
IABC-LI Announces Call for Nominations for 2012 Communications Awards
WESTBURY, N.Y., Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Association of Business Communicators of Long Island (IABC-LI) is now accepting nominations for its annual Achievement in Communications awards program, recognizing and rewarding exceptional communications professionals and students of the profession from the Long Island business community in four categories, including:
The Achievement in Communications Award recognizes a Long Island communications professional who exhibits exceptional skill, enthusiasm and commitment to the field of business communications. With this award, IABC-LI honors an individual whose exemplary skills and talents make him or her a role model for business communicators on Long Island.
The Achievement in Digital Communications Award recognizes the great importance that e-marketing and social media networking now have in integrated communications programs. This award honors a practitioner who exhibits leadership, creativity and results in the still-emerging discipline of digital communications.
The Community Service Award, given to a professional communicator who donates his/her talents and expertise to a nonprofit organization on a pro bono basis.
The Student Achievement in Communications Award, given to an outstanding student and/or intern who has demonstrated academic achievement – as well as talent for and commitment to the communications profession.
This year, nominations will be judged by a distinguished panel of professional communicators from business and academia.

Award winners will be honored at the IABC-LI Annual Awards Luncheon on June 13, 2012, at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
