i.am+™ Appoints Technology Industry Heavyweight Phil Molyneux as President and Chief Operating Officer

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- i.am+ today announced it has appointed Phil Molyneux as President and Chief Operating Officer effective immediately. In this role, Molyneux will be responsible for overseeing the company's operations and revenue growth.  Molyneux will report to i.am+ Founder and CEO will.i.am.  

As an operational leader in the Consumer, Broadcast and Professional Electronics industries, Molyneux brings more than 25 years of experience in the technology sector. He joins i.am+ after most recently serving as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Sony Electronics Inc. – USA where he played the lead role in the development of the world's first ultra high definition 4K TV eco-system, which included the UHD4K download service, related media player and the process of 4K re-mastering of feature films from the Sony Pictures library.

Molyneux brings a wealth of experience outside of the U.S. previously holding a number of leadership positions at Sony in Europe including Managing Director of Sony Central & Southeast Europe Kft. – Hungary where he shifted manufacturing resources to China and consolidated a multi-country organization. Previously, Molyneux served as managing director and vice president of Sony Europe Limited, United Kingdom, where he operated at the most senior level for OEM relationships, distribution channel development as well as co-development activities. Earlier in his career at Sony, Molyneux worked in general management, sales and marketing in various European businesses including commodity products, computer peripherals and components.
