(IAP) has acquired DRS Technologies, Inc.'s (DRS) Aviation and Logistics business located in Oklahoma City, OK (A&L), and the Tactical Communications & Network Solutions business (TCNS) located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. A&L provides aircraft repair management, logistics and mission support services, and TCNS provides engineering, information technology, and communications support solutions to the U.S. Department of Defense and other agencies. IAP will integrate the unique capabilities and talent of the acquired A&L and TCNS businesses as part of its long-term growth strategy.
The acquisition will increase the capabilities that IAP delivers to customers worldwide and will more than double the size of IAP's addressable market. The acquired businesses are being integrated into a new unit – Aviation & Engineering Solutions – and IAP's existing National Security Programs unit.
