
IAS Goes National with Offer of 50% Minimum Cost Savings By Transitioning to Cloud Based Host and Application Services
ANN ARBOR, Mich., May 22, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- In a dramatic expansion of its Michigan Direct Assistance economic stimulus program, Internet Applications & Solutions, Inc. (IAS) announced it is making the program available to all U.S.-based corporations and not for profit organizations. In order to accelerate the economic stimulus impact of the national program, called the Cloud City Services Direct Assistance Program, and GreenHost energy saving, IAS has committed additional resources towards expanding the services assistance.
The Cloud City Services Direct Assistance Program utilizes the high performance & efficiency of the MERIT Virtual Data Center (VDC) platform, and provides a no-cost transition to cloud-based virtualized host services. Cost savings of a minimum 50 percent discount off a corporation's current service rates and up to 100 percent discount for not-for-profit organizations could be realized through program participation.
A variety of additional services with up to 100 percent in-kind assistance are available under the program, including dedicated virtual host servers, consulting, OnSite IT and mobile app, design, database application and social network integration development services. Acceptance into the program is subject to approval and availability. Each opportunity will be evaluated on its potential positive impact, cost reduction and energy savings.
An equally important component of the program, IAS' GreenHost Cloud Services initiative significantly reduces energy consumption for host services upwards of 90 percent.
