ICFF NY: NEUE WIENER WERKSTAETTE - Traditional Austrian Trade Mark for High Quality Furniture and Upholstery

Since 1927, NEUE WIENER WERKSTAETTE has specialized in producing high-quality furniture and upholstery. The two product lines: 'Modern' and 'Classic' follow the clean and timeless lines of the historic Vienna Workshop (Wiener Werkstaette). The Austrian, family-owned company combines a strong, traditional brand with the necessary flexibility required for creating individual furniture and products by international designers.
It is the characteristic principle of NEUE WIENER WERKSTAETTE that it is better to work for ten days on one item than to produce ten items in one day. "We understand that this is exactly the problem with modern mass fabrication because it doesn't have artistic value and it lacks individuality. In the spirit of the historic Vienna Workshop, we consider the ideas of the Arts and Crafts movement as our core mission. In the US we are very much looking forward to an historic comeback as the Vienna Workshop shut down its activities in New York City in 1932. Maybe it's more than coincidence that the names of the new collection designed by Wolfgang Joop are linked to the Big Apple," says CEO and member of the owner-family, Stefan Polzhofer.
At the ICFF, NEUE WIENER WERKSTAETTE is looking for business partners for the franchise of its products in the United States.
