Analyst Update: New Contract, Quarterly Results, Monthly Sales, and Product Launch

The U.S. stock market on Wednesday ended the day in green, following the Federal Reserve's (Fed) dovish tone at the conclusion of its two-day meeting, shrugging off the falling oil worries and deflationary concerns. Fed's Chairwoman Janet Yellen sounded positive on the economy but noted that there was room for improvement. Yellen also stated that inflation is running below the Fed's 2% target inflation rate, but expects to see normalization.  The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) recorded their best one day performance in 2014. The S&P 500 advanced 2.04%, DJIA gained 1.69%, and the Nasdaq Composite moved up 2.12%. Asian markets were mixed on Wednesday as investors awaited the outcome of the Federal Reserve policy meeting. The European stock market also witnessed a late recovery, as a rebound in energy stocks and new signs of economic stimulus measures from the European Central Bank lifted shares.

Fashion Seal Healthcare, a brand of Superior Uniform Group, Inc. (Superior Uniform Group), received a group purchasing contract from Premier Inc (Premier). Under the terms of the contract, Fashion Seal Healthcare will offer Premier members its unique value proposition for enhancing patient satisfaction through the implementation of complete apparel programs.

Synutra International, Inc. (Synutra International) announced that David Li has stepped down from the Company's board of directors to focus on his other business commitments, effective November 11, 2014, as per a Company release dated November 14, 2014. Prior to this, the Company reported double digit growth in its net sales for second quarter of fiscal 2015 despite continued pricing competition from its peers.

Taitron Components Incorporated (Taitron Components) narrowed its third quarter 2014 net loss to $0.16 million from a net loss of $0.18 million in Q3 2013. The Company's net loss for 9M 2014 also came in lower at $0.57 million from a net loss of $0.65 million in 9M 2013.

Tandy Leather Factory, Inc. (Tandy Leather) reported 10.5% YoY increase in its sales to $8.4 million for the month of November 2014, while the YTD sales increased 5.5% YoY to $74.8 million. Retail Leathercraft's sales rose 17.8% YoY to $5.3 million and the YTD sales for Retail Leathercraft were $46.2 million, indicating a 9.2% YoY increase.

Ventev Wireless Infrastructure (Ventev), a unit of TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (TESSCO Technologies), launched NEMA 4X-rated, waterproof 12"x10"x 6" polycarbonate enclosure, which can ensure crucial Wi-Fi/WLAN connectivity in freezer rooms.
