IDS to Showcase Data Enrichment Platform, its New Solution at MicroStrategy World™ 2019

Today at MicroStrategy World 2019, MicroStrategy's annual enterprise analytics and mobility conference, IDS will showcase the IDS Data Enrichment Platform, a new solution that enables MicroStrategy 2019 users to access Pitney Bowes's data sets in real-time through their own MicroStrategy environment. 

Organizations can now use the MicroStrategy platform to leverage Pitney Bowes data via a data connector built by IDS as part of the IDS Data Enrichment Platform. IDS has also created pre-made reports and dashboards for use within MicroStrategy 2019 that access the data sets in real-time and enable end users to use the data for different kinds analyses. Today, users are able to directly retrieve information around addressing, world streets, world boundaries, world points of interest, property attributes, world demographics, geoenrichment, social demographics, and social media data.  They can enrich their existing analysis with data from Pitney Bowes to significantly enhance the outcomes. 

This solution eliminates the need to download information from multiple sources, increasing efficiencies, and productivity.  Previously, a manually-intensive process required users to wait for someone to extract the data from Pitney Bowes and then upload the data into database tables. This process would need to be replicated for each data set the user wanted to review. Because Pitney Bowes has over 1,500 geography-specific data sets, the manually-intensive data prep process is not feasible.

Retail Organizations, for example, can now use the data connector to power insights where a dashboard can reveal a given store's revenue, showing critical KPIs against a backdrop of demographic data and pins indicating competitor locations. Similarly, in healthcare, a dashboard showing patient location can now include pertinent demographic data surrounding the patient.
