The Washington, D.C./West Palm Beach, FL - based Leadership Council, which seeks to educate and inform the White House, U.S. Congress and federal agencies about issues impacting the nation's small publicly-traded companies, stated: "Konnie Kuhn has a stunning record that few analysts can match. Through his KonLin Letter, which has been consistently rated one of the best performing market advisory letters in the nation, Konnie's reliable economic forecasts have been extremely accurate for nearly three decades on behalf of America's small public companies. He deserves to be finally recognized by all small business entrepreneurial executives. We're pleased to present our annual award to Konnie whose financial and investment achievements and leadership qualities best represent our country's entrepreneurs."
Walter Stockton, co-founder with Kuhn of IGHL in 1978 on the North Shore of Long Island, who is IGHL's Chief Executive officer, stated: "Konnie's two passions have always been serving his KonLin Letter readers with fundamental and technical analyses of small-cap stocks and his charitable devotion to helping developmentally disabled children and adults achieve their potential through the work of IGHL. We at IGHL are gratified by the Leadership Council's recognition of Konnie of what our staff has known for many years. He is a true leader and visionary and has a legacy of caring. Over the years, more than 5,000 children and their families are benefiting from the wide range of programs, services and support that IGHL provides as one of the largest not-for-profit organizations in New York State, and its model program. One of our initiatives' facilities has been named in his honor; the Konrad J. Kuhn Opportunity Center."
The Leadership Council noted that Kuhn, knowledgeable in both math and physics, has an innate ability when studying a range of indicators, and has had a record of accurate predictions. One such watershed occasion was in 1982, having forecasted the bull market during the devastation at the time. Among the others was in December 2007 when Kuhn foretold a recession a year before the government's official pronouncement of the downturn, in which he wrote about the housing meltdown to come.
The National Small Public Company Leadership Council is an informal organization originally formed after the 2000 Steve Forbes Presidential Campaign. Its mission includes educating governmental sources about the economic contributions of America's small public companies.
