EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award is an international competition organized by Ernst & Young Company in 145 cities of 60 countries of the world. It was first held 29 years ago, and in Russia it started in 2003. This award is a token of recognition for the leading entrepreneurs in national and global economics, acknowledging their contribution to the business development and economic growth of the countries that are covered by the competition. During the last five years, more than 6500 businessmen have participated in the competition and become members of the international entrepreneur community. Among them, there are the CEOs of globally acclaimed companies. More than a half of them are included in the Nasdaq-100 rating.
At the award ceremony, which took place on 27th November 2014 in Moscow, it was announced that the winner of the 'Entrepreneur of the Year 2014' Award in the 'IT service category was Igor Borovikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Softline.
When weighing up the contenders, the independent jury was guided by such criteria as the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovative approach, financial performance of their companies (growth dynamics), influence on their industry and corporate social responsibility. Entrepreneur of the Year Award Winners are successful businessmen that have lot of creative potential and who are capable of sparking the interest of others in their ideas, transfuse employees with their enthusiasm and lead them on to new achievements.
