Illumio Appoints Jonathan Reiber, Former Pentagon Chief Strategy Officer for Cyber Policy, as Head of Cybersecurity Strategy

Industry veteran to lead micro-segmentation leader's global cybersecurity initiatives as countries across Europe, Asia and the Americas develop standards for protecting data

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 28, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Illumio today announced the appointment of Jonathan Reiber as Head of Cybersecurity Strategy. With over 15 years experience in international security policy, Reiber will lead Illumio's public cybersecurity policy engagements and research, as well as provide strategic market guidance to ensure Illumio continues to proactively meet customers needs with evolving cyber policies and regulations.

Reiber was most recently Senior Advisor at Technology for Global Security, a non-profit think tank and incubator dedicated to solving international security issues, and formerly Senior Fellow at Berkeley's Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity. Prior to that, he held several positions within the U.S. Department of Defense over his seven year tenure with the Obama administration. In his last position, Reiber served as Chief Strategy Officer for Cyber Policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, advising the Pentagon leadership and leading strategic planning and partnership initiatives across the cyber policy portfolio.
